Welcome to the 1st Pinelands website!

1st Pinelands is a Scout group situated in Pinelands (the "Garden City" of Cape Town) South Africa. The group started first in 1923 and then officially in 1928, so it has been going for over 80 years and has a rich history.

We are a mixed group of Cubs and Scouts with both boys and girls and normally meet once a week on a Friday for troop meetings. The activities do not end there, besides our normal troop meeting we do many other activities, especially in the outdoors!

Scouts is a worldwide organisation with 31 million current members that has been around for over one hundred years!

For an adventure that you will never forget, the Senior Scout Adventure Cederberg is probably one of the biggest highlights on the National scouting calendar.
